The Folk Museum.

The purpose of the folk museum is to collect and exhibit traditional and popular items form Perdika region .You can find items from the following categories a)Agriculture tools b) carpenters tools c) weaving equipment d) stock-breeding equipment e) traditional clothing f) traditional household items g) old weapons and war memorabilia h)old currency. All this items was offering from the local residents .

 

The Archaeological site of Dimokastro is identified as Ancient Elina, which is mentioned in a lead inscription from Dodoni. It tells of a fortified coastal settlement of a later classical Greek era, with a population in a lead inscription reaching 6.000 residents at its peak. Apart from the fort and the southwest gate, which remains in excellent condition, within the area of the settlement there are visible buildings, reservoirs carved into the natural rack, passages, carvings in the rocks used as foundation for buildings.

The wildlife Sanctuary of Perdika.
One of the most beautiful parts is the region of Saint Athanasios with its sanctuary for wild animals and birds. Walking along the paths of the park can distinguish the natural beauty both pure and wild, which is the main characteristic of the park. In these natural surroundings the animals of the park manage to survive, in the best condition with a lot of care. The fish and other underwater life survive with the help of the marine life section of the Technical College of Igoumenitsa who have enriched the dams of the small river. Faced with this miracle of nature the people is can stunned because not only does it seems unbelievable but also nobody could imagine than in this area there could be such a heavenly place, in which a thousand year old bridge was also discovered. At the moment deer, wild pigs, rabbits, various species of ducks , pheasants, grouse, peacocks, tortoise, eels, trout, crabs, horses, ponies, donkeys and other species can be found.
